Although we do not have steadfast “rules” you must follow at Temple Zenith, there are certain personal standards and bits of ethical wisdom we believe each individual should strive to uphold on a personal level and in their dealing with others. Again, we are not trying to tell anyone how to conduct his or her lives, but what you do and how you act are the principal basis for how others perceive you. Below is a list of where we stand and the standards we try to live up to.
To strive to accomplish good deeds and have clear and honorable intent in speech and action.
Be fair in your dealings with others and give others a chance to show you who they truly are.
The family unit (specifically children and life partners) is to hold precedence over all other obligations or desires in life within safe and mutually beneficial reason.
Strive to give your children the tools to be successful in today’s world, emotionally, spiritually, economically and socially. Help them cultivate the natural talents they have and help them to overcome challenges as they develop. Help them become problem solvers.
Honor and remember your ancestors in some form. You would not be here as you are without them and as such they deserve to be remembered.
Cooperate with family and friends; help out when you can to equal your fair share.
What you put out will return to you three fold for good or ill like ripples in a pond. This applies not only to your magical working but also to your daily living.
Live life to the fullest, experience life and be happy but remember there is much wisdom in moderation.
Respect the individuality of others and insist upon the same in return.
Be persistent and endure in the face of adversity without discouragement, for it is the hallmark of the brave to remain in good spirits despite a trying day.
Learn from your experiences and grow with them. Everyone is going to make mistakes; it is how we act upon those mistakes that says a great deal about who we are.
Be loyal and true in your commitments.
Monogamous mutually beneficial relationships are ideal in today’s culture.
Charity work is integral to a healthy sense of community.
Covens and most group work should run in true democratic spirit, all voices are to be heard, all things are to be voted upon - majority rule within the guidance of a set leader.
